Ojibiwa

Ojibiwa (Chippewa). The Ojibiwa people are also
known as the Chippewa who at the time of European
contact occupied the northern region of Lake Superior.
It was these people who navigated the waterways of the
north in birch bark canoes, and were an important link in
the early British and French fur trade.
