"Heton Cikala Inyanka," Hunkpapa Sioux Chief,
Warrior and Spokesman, Running Antelope became a
head chief of the Hunkpapa Sioux in 1851; as a warrior
he was considered the bravest of the brave. In his
later years he served his people as an orator. A variant
of this photograph was used on the 1899 five-dollar
silver certificate.
