"Nomkahpa," Brule Sioux War Chief (1832-1915).
During combat against the Utes, Two Strike
("He Struck Off Two") earned his name by knocking
two enemy off their horses with his war club. He
united and led his people in support of the Ghost
Dance Movement, which culminated in the tragedy
at Wounded Knee in 1890.
