"Out of the darkness came a red man without a voice. He wandered
for many years and met many people. finally, when he thought that he was
at the end of his journey, he met a Yuwipi medicine man who said to him,
"walk with me." The spirits gave the man voice in the form of a
flute and said, "give this music to the people in a good way. Pray
this flute for healing and direction." The man went to the mountain
to pray and fast for four days. When he completed his prayers the spirit
